Welcome to Mindfall

Hi. Come in, sit down, it's raining.

Mindfall is a small, quiet place for the end of the day. You mix your own sounds — rain on a window, a far-off train, waves, a fire that crackles, a fan that hums like the one at your grandparents' house — and they play over a little pixel-art world that's very much alive.

That last part is the bit we can't stop fiddling with. The rain actually lands on the glass and runs down it. The fire burns brighter when you turn the fire up. A car goes by outside and its headlights slide across the bedroom wall. There's a cat on the windowsill who purrs if you let her, and sleeps if you don't. None of it is a video; it's all being drawn as you watch.

Built for the end of the day

We made Mindfall for the bit of the evening where you're tired but your brain hasn't got the memo yet. So there's:

  • A sleep timer that fades everything out slowly, so nothing stops with a jolt.
  • Deep night, for when even the moon is too bright. It turns the darkest colours true black (your OLED screen will thank you).
  • A battery saver that lets the picture slow down and dim once you've put the phone down.
  • Breathing patterns, with a soft circle to follow. No counting required.
  • A journal, if you like to set the day down in words. It stays on your device unless you decide otherwise.

The rain has never fallen quite like this before

Most of Mindfall's sounds aren't recordings on a loop. They're made as they play — so tonight's rain is genuinely tonight's, and you won't catch the same drip coming round again at the three-minute mark. (The few sounds that are recordings are long, seamless ones.)

Small, on purpose

No ads. No feed. No streaks to keep alive or badges to feel bad about. You don't need an account to use it, and it doesn't need anything from you. If you'd like your scenes on your other devices, an account does that, and that's about it.

We hope it becomes a nice place to land at the end of a long one.

The kettle's on. The rain's already started.

Rain on the window, a story read low, and nothing to do but drift.
